I’m Like You Because…

We are much more alike than we are different. In a world that seems to become more divided each day, what if we chose to remember our shared humanity, our shared vision, our shared purpose? What if we were to walk a day in each other’s shoes, took the time to understand each other and work together more? Because when we do, God will be seen.

Saturday, 24 March 2018: Part 1: I’m Like You Because…
Often we hear about the need to be open, vulnerable and authentic. As a man, there’s something in me that resists that call. Is anyone else like this? It’s like asking a warrior to lay down his weapons, to take off his armor. But what if God never asks us to take off our armor? What if he asks us to do something entirely different?

Saturday, 7 April 2018: Part 2: Words Matter
I’m like you because I grew up hearing the words sticks and stones can break my bones but words will never hurt me. What if the exact opposite is true? What if the thing that comes to us so easily—words—can literally bring life or death to people? How would that change how we live and think and interact with the people around us? Join us this week as we hear what God has to say about the words we choose to use and the impact they have on us and on the people around us.

Saturday, 14 April 2018: Part 3: I’m Going to Die
Speaking the same language implies just a little bit more than actually being able to pronounce words correctly. This week we share the earth-shattering story described in Acts 2 and explore what the real miracle could be. How can we continue to grow our thinking, and what actions do we need to change in order to really speak the same language?
